Anyone work for Cablevision?
I saw a posting that I am qualified for and it's a 5 minute ride from my house. Wondering how the company is to work for? TIA.

I don't know how they are to work for per se but my husband, who can tell you about every major LI company, would say (and this may be a generalization pertaining to his field) that they pay cr*p (that's a direct quote). 
In fact, a few years ago, he interviewed with them (through a head hunter) and had four interviews and although he was assured at all junctures that money wouldn't be a problem, they made him a ridiculous offer. He actually walked out in the middle of the last interview.

I agree with the PP. My sister works there and her salary is okay but she works for a very high up person.
I went there for an interview a few years back. I had 2 interviews and did not get the job obviously but the salary was the same that I receive NOW and it was a promotion for me.

I worked for the company for 6 years, and i agree the money wasnt the best sometimes, but the benefits were really good so it helped make up for it. It also depends on the department too, some def pay better then others. I left last year to be a SAHM or else I probably would still be working there. HTH

Thanks everyone! I don't expect to make what I make now in NYC and am expecting about a 20-30k decrease. I was wondering more what the culture is like there.

My cousin works there and has for a very long time and is quite high up in the organization. I know she loves it, they paid for her MBA, hired a tutor for her when she couldn;t score high enough on the GRE's, etc.
They also have a gym on the campus, and my sister did a summer rotation for her accounting firm at cablevision and said their cafeteria is really good.
