Another Sinus Infection...

They have become chronic...3 in the last 6 weeks. I am on antibiotics and feeling awful. I guess I have to go to an allergist.

This happen to anyone else?

Yes, but you probably do not need an allergist. You probably need a different antibiotic. it sounds to me that your body has become immune to the antibiotic and you are not getting completely rid of the infection. This happened to me in april I was sick the whole friggin month. I was miserable. Finally a heavy duty antibiotic and one yeast infection from hell later, I finally knocked it out of my sytem and have been sinus infection free since then.

Yes and I'm sorry to hear that it's happening to you

I see an asthma/allergy specialist regularly (since I have both) and she's always treated my chronic sinus infections as well. If you do decide to see one, I'd highly recommend Dr. Amy Korobow...she has offices in Huntington & Commack. I had chronic infections for years, but now that I've been seeing her regularly I don't get them as often. Feel better!!!

I used to get them all the time. I found that as soon as I started to get my ears checked every few months for wax, etc it went away. Also, I neglected going to the dentist and needed 2 root canals and wonder if I was getting them from neglecting my cleanings. I am not sure, but either way I took care of both and only had 1 sinus infection, knock on wood in a year. HTH.
