Loestrin 24e?

Today will be day 3 of me taking it and so far no unusual side effects (it said could have break through bleeding, but since I just finished my period I'm assuming if it does happen it won't be for another week or so, and it also said could have a feeling of being sick to your stomach on the booklet that came with the BC) Is this still something that could happen later on as I keep taking it?

Also did anyone who has been on this feel kind of overly emotional. Like I find myself tearing up over little things that would never make me feel like crying before this and I just feel weird lol if that makes any sense whatsoever. Could this already be happening even after only 3 days of being on it? And if it can does that mean it might get worse?

I just got put on loestrin 24 as well, actaully I just finished my first pack today. I haven't had any emotional side effects (but have in the past w/ a different brand) however, i experience pretty bad neusea (sp?), i almost got a morning sickness feeling for the first couple weeks, but it has now subsided (thank goodness). If it continues though, i'd talk to your dr!

i've been on it for about 9 mths now.

It's ok I guess. I get pretty short periods.

However, one weird thing with me is that I get my period in the middle of the pack. Not the end of the pack.

did you start it on a sunday?

and maybe its break through bleeding? hmm not sure?

I take this too - I've been on it for about a year. No break thru bleeding - no cramps - Hardly any periods or bledding - No crazy PMS or anything.

When I first started this, about a year ago, my hormones went nuts! I would get hot flashes, or burst into tears for no reason or get angry at little things... I felt queasy and walked around with a cold washcloth around my neck for like 4 days.... Then all of a sudden it stopped, never had a negative effect again and I get super short periods (if at all)

I tried this and hated it. I was an emotional wreck and not in a crying way, but I was very irritable like I did not even want to be around myself and DH was dealing with it, but really asked me to go back to the Dr. I also had very bad break through bleeding.

It all depends on your body. My friend is on it, lost weight and has the best sex life she has ever had because her hormones were going crazy.

I've been on it for about a year. It's fine. Any pill you take, the first 3 months or so your body is adjusting and you might be moody, overly sensitive, bloated, etc. It should even out by 3 months. If not, and the side effects are bad enough, just switch to another pill till you find the one that works best for you.

Loestrin has definitely made me gain weight, but my skin is clear, I have only one day of cramps with each period, and my emotions are in check, as opposed to some other pills I've been on. I'd rather take the 5 extra pounds than go back to Yasmin, which had me crying every day for 6 months, or Ortho-Lo, which gave me cramps so bad I had to call in sick to work.

Keep up with Loestrin for another 8 weeks and see how it goes.

i LOVED it for the first year. very light periods (2 days), no cramps, nada. No side effects at all.

Then, i started to not get my period at all one month, and then the next month id have it for a week

im on orthotricyclen-lo now. its much better for me.
