? for those who have been on airplane recently
Its literally been a few years since I've flown...
I'm only planning on bringing a carry-on. I know all my shampoo/lotions etc must be in travel size bottle in a ziplock bag. But what do you guys do with your makeup? Can you keep in in your pocketbook? Or does it have to be in the zip lock bag as well? I'm not talking much.. just a compact, blush, mascara, liner, some lip gloss
TIA

I put mine in a zip lock bag inside my purse...only because I wasn't sure what I had to do and it was fine

The liquids make up should be in the bag as well. Solid make up doesn't need to be.

Stupid question... but are powders considered solid make up?

Mascara and lip gloss need to be in 3 oz containers in the ziploc bag. Everything else is considered solid (unless your liner is liquid).

i've never had a problem with bringing my make-up on board before, even the liquids (lip gloss, eye liner, mascara, etc), and i've flown quite a few times so far this year on various airlines. i just leave all that stuff in my makeup bag and only put my shampoo, conditioner, etc in the zip loc bag.

I consider them solid make up. I just put liquid foundation, concealer, mascara and lip gloss in the "liquids" bag usually. I put my powder, my eyeshadow (powder), eyeliner (pencil), and lipstick in my purse.

Re: ? for those who have been on airplane recently
I always put my glosses and mascara in the ziploc. I don't know if it is necessary, but I think it says on the FAA site that they should be in the ziploc. I used mineral powder for the rest (foundation, blush), so it doesn't go in the ziploc.
