Hot Dip Recipes

I am looking to make some hot dips for a party I will be going to in a few weeks.

I was thinking of a clam dip or some kind of cheese dip. I've seen both of them at parties before.

Does anyone have a good recipe that they've made before and would like to share?

TIA!
Melissa

Re: Hot Dip Recipes

Chili Dip

1 can chili no beans (or beans if you like)

1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese, softened

2 c. shredded cheddar

In a 9 x 9" microwave safe baking dish, spread cream cheese in an even layer in bottom.

Next, spread even layer of chili on the cream cheese. Sprinkle cheddar over chili.

Heat approximately 5 minutes until cheese is melted and is heated through

Frank's® RedHot® Buffalo Chicken Dip

From: Frank's® Redhot®
Prep: 5 minutes
Bake: 20 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

1 pkg. (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup blue cheese salad dressing
1/2 cup Frank's® RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce OR cup Frank's® RedHot® Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 ounces)
2 cans (9.75 ounces each) Swanson® Premium Chunk Chicken Breast in Water, drained
Assorted fresh vegetables or crackers

Directions:

Heat the oven to 350°F.

Stir the cream cheese in a 9-inch deep dish pie plate with a fork or whisk until it's smooth. Stir in the dressing, pepper sauce and blue cheese. Stir in the chicken.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the chicken mixture is hot and bubbly. Stir before serving. Serve with the vegetables and crackers for dipping.

To make in the microwave: Use a microwavable 9-inch deep dish pie plate. Prepare the dip as directed above in Step 2. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH for 5 minutes or until the chicken mixture is hot, stirring halfway through the cook time.

Tip: This dip can be kept warm in a small crockpot or fondue pot on the buffet table.

You can also cover this in shredded cheese(s) of choice and melt the cheese on top.

Re: Hot Dip Recipes

I call this Heartattack Dip -

Personally, I find it repulsive, but EVERYONE LOVES it and always asks that I make it/bring it/share the recipe -

Blue Cheese Bacon Dip

2 bricks cream cheese
1 clove chopped garlic
Small Container Crumbled Blue Cheese
Crumbled Bacon (I just use the Hormel "real bacon" bacon bits - They're not like regular bacon bit flakes, they're more like chopped up real bacon)

Mix it all together, bake at 350 for 20 min and serve .........
ETA - I forgot the garlic

1 tbsp of oregano
1/2 cup of Parm. cheese

In another pan melt the butter than add the minced onion. Cook until a light golden brown. Add oregano and stir.

Pu the cheese and bread crumbs into the pan with the clams and then combine the 2 pans together. Stir well and put into a pie plate (9" is fine) and bake for about 30 minutes or until it is a nice golden brown.
