Spinoff to bottles for daycare

How do you send in food? Do you send in a box of cereal or do you have to pre-make it? Do you label all jars of food?

Re: Spinoff to bottles for daycare

I sent in the box of cereal and bottle with just water so they can make it.

No i do not label the food (jars or little gerber plastic containers). DS has his own cubbie/box for his stuff. I do label the puffs and cherios

ETA..once my DS tried all the cereals we just sent in the jarred cereals

I sent in a box of cereal and then the jars or tubs. I did label everything, they each had an area of the shelf, but it makes life easier to just write his name on it.

I send in a box of cereal. They have their own bins for foods but I label it anyway - just on case

Re: Spinoff to bottles for daycare

I would probably put the box of cereal in a tupperware type container since those boxes don't shut too well. I would put the name and date on it, since it's only good for a month.

I always labeled the jars/tubs with a sharpie. Our daycare required it though.

Re: Spinoff to bottles for daycare

My son has a box of oatmeal and one of barley; I labeled each with a Sharpie. For his jarred food, I keep them all in a little basket that has his name on it. The individual jars aren't labeled.

A box of cereal with his name on it. They give jars.

Re: Spinoff to bottles for daycare

For ours, everything has to be fully labeled and completely prepared. I send all of his food in the take and toss containers (or whatever they're called). I just have lids already labeled so I don't have to worry about which container is for fruit, which for cereal, etc.
