Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
If I could do it again, I would have gotten a brand name that has a double stroller that is compatable later on. FOr example, I got a Chicco with DD (love it!), but now with DS on the way, Chicco doesn't make a double stroller, so now I have to "figure it out" or get a whole new stroller system

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
If I could register/buy a stroller all over again I would register/buy the snap and go for the infant seat and then the Combi Torino for when DC out grows the infant seat because these were the strollers I wanted after much research and trying them out and I couldn' be happier.
...and not waste my/other people's money on a travel system because they look too heavy and bulky for me so I never used one.
I'm currently shopping for a double stroller...it gets even harder to figure out.

do the same and get the Graco metorlite travel system. I didn't find it heavy at all, loved the pattern and the stroller is awesome. I also got the snap and go for quick trips and loved it as well.
Same here! I loved my Metrolite stroller, and snapped my Snugride carseat in and out, no problem. It's actually the only stroller I've owned, unless you count the $20 cheapie I picked up at BRU just for travel.
Will be using these same strollers again when the new baby comes (kids will be 3 yrs apart, so no need for double strollers considering I rarely use one for DS these days)

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
If I could register/buy a stroller all over again I would register/buy Peg Perego Venezia and Maclaren Techno XT because they are what I originally wanted but DH didn't want to spend alot of money.
And not waste my/other people's money on the Evenflo Portabout Travel system and the Maclaren Triumph because the Evenflo was nothing special and bulky and the Maclaren Triumph didn't even recline enough for my ds to sleep comfortably in it.
PS I ended up selling the ones I had and bought the ones I wanted and now I'm extremely happy with both.

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
As of now, I would do the same. Once DD is older and I get more use (or not) then I might think differently. I got a snap n go and I love it. I also got a Peg Perego Centro (now discontinued). It is a full sized stroller and is big and on the heavier side (22lbs) but I like it for walks or more significant shopping trips/amusement parks/etc. I just got a Maclaren quest and although I haven't used it yet, i think it will be great to replace my snap n go for quick trips into stores and travelling.

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
I would do the exact same thing I did last time. I would NOT get a travel system- a click and go is all you need- I like the baby trend model- bigger basket and cheaper than Graco. And still get my Baby Jogger. I am now looking into getting a double. I love it.
oh and if you get a cheapie for travel and stuff, make sure the handles are high unless you are midget. We got lucky and got the baby trend folding stroller at a consignment store and it has really high handles so my DH doesn't have to stoop over.

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
We used the Graco metrolite for the first year - worked great for us. Now we have a lightweight umbrella stroller - can't remember the brand name.
We lived in a small apt for the first year of DD's life, so we could only get one stroller. Thought the Graco metrolite was great.

I would register for the Chicco Travel System like I did and for a lightweight a Maclaren. I love that stroller!!!!!!!

the bugaboo - we got camelian and i love it.
For travelling we got the Quest, and I like it for travel and mall. Its pretty easy to manuever and fits in all the tight spaces and reclines enough for DD to sleep. overall we are happy with our strollers.

I would have not gotten the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe stroller that I did. I never use it. Its big and bulky- and is not a smooth ride. DH got me a Bob jogging stroller and I use that all the time!

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
I have 7, yes, 7 strollers for my 1, yes 1 DD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Baby Boy on the way next month.
1) I would say get an infant car seat and a Snap and Go first. Depending on the baby's size, they can stay in it from 6 mos- 1 year.
2) I have the Graco Quatro and Metrolite. Love them both. Very comfy for baby, parent tray and great storage baskets.
3) The Maclarens are great too, for plane, train, cab and quick trips. Storage stinks, no parent tray and a small, hard to get to basket. But still, lightweight and easy to use.
4) I also have a jogger- not that I jog, but good on sand and rough terrain.
5) For this baby, I bought a Pliko 3 on the advice of other Moms, only because my Maclaren is soooo girly- pink and purple dots!!!
HTH, Good Luck!

Me either. I would get an infant carseat and a really good (but not too ) umbrella stroller.
ETA: I could not live without the snap and go though.

from what i've read on LIF and other reseach, i've come to find out that travel systems are big, bulky, and heavy.
it might seem convenient that it has everything you need all in one however, when you find yourself hustling and bustling, i think you will see that the travel system is just too cumbersome.
from what i read, i see that moms get fed up with the big strollers. i see that they end up loving the lightweight strollers because, well, they are lightweight- a big plus, compact when you fold them up, and are just better all around when you are on the go.
picking a stroller is a lot hard than you think b.c you will find that it may or may not fit into your lifestyle.. after the research, i think i might register for a snap n go ( basically a bare frame with wheels that you snap your infant seat into- ultra ligthweight, cheap, gets rave reviews from moms across the board- used up to about 6 months or so depending on weight etc) and for my full stroller, i think i am going to register for the peg perego pliko.
HTH!! good luck!!

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
I actually love my Graco metro. It is 5 years old and in great shape. It was not a travel system. It is 14lbs and closes UP, not down to the floor. love that. I also have a baby trend jogger that I really love- that is my double stroller. I also have a sit and stand. It is very heavy and Molly cannot rest in it. It is good, but not good for long walks. I use the double jogger for walks and vacations. I also have a snap and go and used that when I had the infant seat. That is worth the money by far.

I would have the 3 strollers I have:
1. Snap N go -- great for the first few months
2. BOB Revolution -- amazing for jogging, walking, going to parks and zoos, etc.
3. Maclaren Quest -- great for the City, malls and airports

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
i would do the same. The graco snugride frame (which is the same thing as the snap n go) has been great! I haven't used anything else yet since DD is only 3 1/2 mths. We registered for the graco metrolite travel system really because it came with the snugride carseat that i wanted and also the metrolite stroller so it was cheaper to register for the travel system than to get the two separately. I haven't used it as a travel system though. I plan on using the metrolite stroller when DD gets too big for the snugride which should be another 2 mths or so. I'll probably end up getting another light umbrella like stroller when she's a little bigger too. I don't know how I'm going to really like the metrolite stroller but i've heard good things. I guess I would say, definitely register for a snap n go (or the snugride frame) and the infant seat of your choice and maybe wait to get a bigger stroller when DC is bigger. Save those gift cards you inevitably get for that!

Re: Fill in the blank regarding strollers: If I could do it all over again I would ________
I've been pretty happy with my Graco Metrolite travel system. I've been using it quite a bit without too many problems. DS sleeps quite peacefully when I take him between the house, car and his stroller. I just wish the darn thing wasn't so heavy!
