freaking out about induction
I'm 40 weeks on Sunday and the baby hasn't dropped and my cervix shows no signs of softening. No dilation. No effacement. Nothing. Boo!
Doc scheduled an induction for Wednesday. While I understand his reasoning, I'm still so nervous about it. I've heard the contractions associated with having an induction come very fast and furious and leave you more likely to need an epidural, which is likely to slow down labor and lead to a c-section. I have so many fears about the c-section and my biggest concern is that I really want to breastfeed and I'm afraid the c-section will put me at a disadvantage from the get-go.
So, are there any girls out there that were induced that did not have to have a c-section and if you had to have a c-section, has your breastfeeding been successful?
