did you use a sleep positioner for your newborn?
I just found DD who is a week old rolled over on her other side! I'm a bit shocked I didn't think they did that so early on. Should I invest in a sleep positioner to keep her on her side...I was told they were a waste of money, but now I don't know

Been using it for 3 months now.......works great to prop DS on his sides. I alternate between his back and sides, to keep his head from getting too flat (poor kid was looking funny a few weeks ago!!) and to keep him in place also!

I got one for my shower and never used it...DS likes to move all around and be free! It isn't that costly though...so you can just try it!

I have one and use it.. I love it.
She has a habit of scooching over to one side and sorta going sideways. Its nice to know she can't roll over completely. Makes me feel so much better....

We have one and LOVE it. Alex likes to move around a lot and no matter how you lay him down within 5 minutes he wont be in that same position. We found he stays nice and cozy in his sleep positioner. we even use it in his PNP.

We use it in both PNP and the crib for the same reason.

Re: did you use a sleep positioner for your newborn?
We used one for about a week. DS got very hot. I wouldn't buy it. My ped said that you can roll up 2 recieving blankets and put it on either side of him.

Re: did you use a sleep positioner for your newborn?
I had one for her, BUT, she was/still is a wriggler...
I would position her in the positioner, and would find her with her head in between the 2 cushions!

Re: did you use a sleep positioner for your newborn?
Never used one.
They made me nervous. What happens if you have an active DC that wiggles around, and they shift down and turn, so their head is caught up against the pillows? DS moved around a lot, and I could definitely imagine him getting caught in the positioner, and having a hard time breathing.

Re: did you use a sleep positioner for your newborn?
for both kids NOPE..they are more dangerous than a baby rolling over in my opinion. My PED made sure we didn't use one.

This is why Consumer Reports does not recommend them so I don't plan to use one when baby comes.
