2WW Dilemma w/ Medical Procedure: UPDATE
Hi Ladies, I'm hoping you can help. DH and I BD on Day of O (10/13) and 5DPO. I know there is a very slim chance that I could be pregnant. Here's my dilemma. I am supposed to undergo a capsule endoscopy tomorrow. It's a Small Bowel Procedure where I swallow a vitamin sized camera and it transmits thousands of pictures to an electronic device that I wear around my waist. There is a ton of electromagnetism and a very small risk of it needing to be surgically removed. It's too early to get a home pregancy test. I don't want to put the test off any longer. And I definitely don't want to compromise baby or pregnancy. Again, I know the chances are incredibly slim, but I'm still indecisive. What would you recommend? Thank you so much for any of your insights.
UPDATE: The GI's office asked me to reschedule. I took an HPT and it was BFN (I'm only 7DPO). Thanks so much for your suggestions. I'll tell DH to be more careful next month so I can get this dam test done!!!

I would call my doctor ask their opinion.
My guess is take the test, but I wouldn't take that kind of test without letting my doctor know pregnancy may be a possibility.

Any time you are in the 2WW you are potentially PG.
I would call your Dr.
Do you have to take some sort of anesthesia?
I personally would posponne.

No anesthesia. But I have to eat a clear liquid diet all day today and pretty much overdose on citrate of magnesia to clear my bowels out tonight.
And, thanks to everyone for writing back so far. I appreciate the guidance.

Like everyone else pretty much said - we really can't tell you what to do in this situation. Only your doctor will know if this procedure would have a negative affect on your possibly developing baby.
