Blue cheese...Bad???

I know that it's a no-no. Do you think if I eat some in a salad that it would be a really bad thing?

Depends on YOU . -

I was told not to eat it, so I stay away from it.

If I accidentially ate it, I wouldn't go rushing to to the Dr. over it, but I wouldn't LOOK to eat it.

I ate it. Abby is fine. Do what you feel comfortable with.

Re: Blue cheese...Bad???

The truth, i eat it all the time! I crave it like crazy! The thing with cheeses is are they pasturized. When i order it from somewhere, i always ask them to check..that is the only reason you should not be eating it. Trust me, i call on the obgyns for a living..i have asked every doc under the sun about food related stuff..hahaha..i just never tell my own docs anything..oh well.

Do what you are comfy with..i dont really eat the deli sandwhiches bc you really cant be sure if the meat has been sitting out all day/night or whatever but cheese, i just ask..plus, careful with caesar..some of it is not ok..it is amazing how many authentic italian places make it from scratch! Good Luck

Re: Blue cheese...Bad???

I had bleu cheese in a salad yesterady. I bought it at the supermarket and it was made with pasteurized milk - so I don't see why that would be bad.

Re: Blue cheese...Bad???

I personally could not do it. I would worry too much afterwards. I know it's generally on the no list. Only you can decide.

Re: Blue cheese...Bad???

One of my favorite cheeses.

Sadly I have not touched it since getting pregnant. I have been very cautious though with foods, so I may not be the best person to ask.

Re: Blue cheese...Bad???

i have been told no because of the mold/bacteria in it (not because of it being pasteurized or not).

I was craving hot wings for 3 weeks & ate bleu cheese w/ it every time. Again, its what you feel comfortable with.
