Sub Question
I know this is a stupid question but I just need it clarified for me because I've never subbed before but am thinking about doing it next year to get my foot in the door.... so what is the difference between a permanent sub and a per diem sub?
Thank you!!

Re: Sub Question
A permanent sub is guaranteed work EVERY DAY at one particular school or district.
A per diem sub is a "per day." the district or school calling you only needs you for that day. many subs are per diem subs at several schools, so that between all the different schools they get work almost every day.
being a perm. sub is preferable as you get to know the people in the school and district and some districts give perm. subs benefits.

Re: Sub Question
I thought that is what it meant. I knew per diem meant per day I just wanted to make sure permanent meant I WILL work everyday.
Thank you so much for your help!
