What happens at the 12 week vs. the 18-22 week screenings?
I was told to get a nuchal translucency between 10-13 weeks?
The Level II Sonogram Fetal Survey 18-22 weeks?
Should DH come to both these appointments?

im having dh go to both... they are longer appointments where they measure different parts of the baby.
the 18-22 week screening is where they should confirm the sex of the baby also....

My DH came to both and I'm so glad that we were able to share those moments together! I highly advise that he goes if he's able to!
The Level II Sono def helped make this pregnancy real for my husband. Him being able to see the baby moving around, yawning, and rubbing his/her nose actually brought tears to his eyes.

the nuchial is a maker test to see if something is wrong.. NOT ALWAYS ACCURATE!!! if the baby is moving they might not get an accurate measurement of the neck fold and they also give you a blood test which all goes into a formula including your age...
the 20 wk sono measures everything on the baby... you can also find out the sex
if he can come to both i would suggest it but if he can only come to one then i would def say that he should go to the 20 wk

Yes, both are very exciting appointments. You will see a real baby image in the 12 week ultrasound and the 20 week level II ultrasound you will find out the sex and see how much your baby has grown.
If anything, let DH skip the 16 week AFP because they just drew blood and it wasn't very exciting at all.

you should definatley be able to see the sex of that baby sooner then 22 weeks.....maybe because im high risk and having multiples but we found out just around 14 wks.....depends on the dr but i've heard the same from family also.....i never could have waited that long to find out lol...i'd haveDH come to those appts...but not necessary for every checkup otherwise
