Help!! Can I dispute this?
I ordered 2 Britax Marathons online. Well they came super fast, however the boxes were badly damaged and taped up. I hesitated to even open it, but I decided to open one and there was no styrofoam packing, no instructions, the plastic looked openned and put back on The seat itself looks new, but I'm not accepting this.
I paid over $400 for both of them and their 100% satsifaction guarantee is a hoax. They are saying they will credit me but I have to pay for shipping both ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck is it going to cost me to ship these 2 huge things back UPS!?!?!
Why should I have to pay for shipping when they sent me CR AP. I didn't change my mind or not like the product.
Is there anything I can do to fight these charges???? I paid on AMEX.

the one good thing you did was pay amex!!!!
call amex and tell them they will dispute the charges for you no problem! they stand 100% behind there customers!!!!

Call AMEX and they will take care of it for you. That is one of the best things about that card.

Call AmEx and they will file a dispute against the merchant for you. Tell them you did not get what you paid - what was prmised -a nd you are not satisfied. Good luck!

Amex has the best chargeback/dispute customer service out of all the credit cards out there.
Definitely give them a call. Explain the situation. They will reverse the charges and deal with the merchant.

Did they both have no packing material inside the boxes? I'm asking because I ordered a Britax and it didn't come with packing material. All the tags were on the seat though so it was not used. Maybe that's how they ship them?

I don't think they were damaged during shipping. It looks like someone ordered them, took them out of the box, threw away all the packaging, never used the seat, and then sent it back.
The seat may not be used, but I just don't trust it. What if it got damaged during shipping since it had no packing inside.
I only openned one box. The other box looked worse and was completely taped together. I didn't want to rip the tape off and then them say I can't return it.

First, I would call and ask to speak to a supervisor and explain the situation. Let them know exactly HOW you want this resolved (you want to return and get 2 new ones, yuo want a full refund, etc.) and let them know that if you don't get what you want, you will dispute it with your cc company.
Unfortunatley, being on the merchant side of credit cards, I find that AX backs the merchant and VS/MC backs the cardholder. Either way, document EVERYTHING and file a complaint if you don't get what you want fro mthe store itself. Print a copy of the website that says 100% satisfaction guarantee and use that in your case also.
ETA: before you do anything - take PICTURES of the boxes and the seats!

Did you confirm with them that they do in fact put packing material in the boxes? Thinking about it, I don't think my Comfortsport came with packing material either and I ordered that online also.

take pictures of the boxes and email the company also with the pictures of how it was sent.....I would definitely not accept it especially since you spent $400 I would be pi$$ed

I just recently bought a Britax from BRU..in store. I'm almost 100% sure it didn't come with any packing material. It was just in a bag with a twist tie. Everything else was in good shape though...bag and box.
