Re: Mri for migraines
I just found this site that has a whole section on migraine videos. I found it helpful when I was trying to self diagnose myself!

It can be a little unnerving. I have had 2 of them over the past 2 years. Its very noisy but the worst part for me was having the mask type thing being put over my face. They give you a panic button & they asked me all the time if I was ok.

Re: Mri for migraines
I've had many! Are you getting it with contrast?? They're painless- if you're getting the contrast then expect either an IV or they'll stop in the middle and a doc will come in and inject the contrast through a needle. They'll give you headphones to help with the loud banging noises and then you just lay still.
