First pregnancy and m/c
I had a m/c on Sunday and it was confirmed yesterday with my dr. I was 7wks. I was looking forward to telling our families at Christmas, even got frames to put baby's first pic to give as gifts. I feel a little better today, but I'm wondering when we should try again. I was to be pregnant more then anything and it took a year for this one. But am I ready? Plus a family member found out at the same time as me that she is expecting to. We would have been days apart with everything.

Re: First pregnancy and m/c
I am truly sorry for your loss did you doctor say when you would be able to try again?
everyone is different, but I m/c naturally at 6 weeks and my ob said to wait at least one cycle before trying again.
It's hard i know and again I'm sorry

Re: First pregnancy and m/c
First of all I had my m/c 3wks ago and my D&C 2wks ago. We were 10w2d. I had my follow up this Monday and I was told physically we were good to go, but emotionally my doc warned me to be careful. Joe and I have decided to take a whatever happens approach. There will be no charting, no temping, no ovulation websites...just good old fashion lovin. To be honest, I don't know if i'm really ready, but I believe everything happens for a reasona nd if we're ment to get pg again soon we will. I can tell you everyda is different.....some days I look so forward to being pg again and some days I wonder if I could live through another m/c. Every day brings a new emotion and a new hurdle. We tried for 7months before we got pg so I understand where you're coming from. All I can say is that I don't think anybody who has a m/c really knows if they're REALLY ready to TTC again. FM me if you need anything

Re: First pregnancy and m/c
I'm so, so terribly sorry for you loss
ETA: After my d&c the doc told me to wait at least 1 full cycle before trying again, but recommended that we really wait 3 cycles so that I could heal emotionally. In the end, we just waited the 1...

I know how emotionally draining it is but you'll get through it. I miscarried naturally and the doctor told me to wait 1 cycle.

Oh i am so sorry for your loss. It is the most devastating thing, i know.
What did your dr say about trying again? Most drs say anywhere from 1-3 mons. Most women i know try right after AF comes (this is what im doing)
Best of luck!!!! I hope in time, your heart will heal!!!

Re: First pregnancy and m/c
Thank you for all your warm thoughts. My doctor told me I could try when ever we felt we are ready. I just have to figure out when that is.

Re: First pregnancy and m/c ** Update**
So I just go back from my follow up and yearly yeasterday. We got some shocking and great news. We're expecting again, but I'm very nervious. I'm only weeks not even a month yet. How do I do this with everything I know that can happen. I didn't wait this time, I told some family. I trying not to let it bother me but it's making it hard to be happy. I am very happy.

congratulations! I hope you have a happy & healthy 9 months! this was our first pregnancy that we just lost as well, I feel we will be deprived of ever feeling "safe" about being pregnant in the future, so your nervous feelings are completely natural. sending you prayers! I can only hope I will be ready to get pregnant again just as quickly!
