holiday craft idea
i teach 5th grade and would like to do a CHEAP holiday craft with them.
any ideas?

i'm fifth grade as well. my co-teacher and are baking sugar cookies over the weekend and bringing them in.... class moms are bringing frosting, kisses, colored sugar, etc. for them to decorate.

I teach first, and we did ornaments. I hot glued popsicle sticks together with one glued horizontally across the others. That one acted as the brim of a hat. They painted that and above that black, below it white. Decorated it as a snowman. We used pipe cleaners as a handle. Also, we did gingerbread houses. We used milk cartons from the cafeteria and graham crackers. My co teacher used to teach 5th grade and he did this with his class.

We do both of these as well. COme out so cute! The parents all sent in candy & frosting to decorate the houses. The snowman out of popsicle sticks is so easy and cheap! It's a knock off of one you can buy at orientaltrading.
