formula issues!
Ugh.. I definitely think it is the formula that is making Sadie fussy and disturbing her sleep.
I have to take her to the dr at 11:15 so I am hoping to only have to feed her one more time until we can talk to the dr.
They started her on enfamil lipil with iron.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what she may tolerate better?

Re: formula issues!
Nestle Good Start was a godsend for us! We tried a bunch of others before that and it was the only thing that worked.

Same for my nephew, he was pretty uncomfy until he switched to Good Start.
Hope she's more comfy soon

DS started on similac advance and we switched to gentlease after he couldn't tolerate that anymore - no more problems!! ETA: he is mostly breastfed, but does get the occasional bottle of formula

Same here!
Call your ped...I tried Good Start at her recommendation and it worked for us, although it did take 7-10 days to see a the full difference.

Re: formula issues!
Ask your dr for ALL samples they have! Sometimes it's just trial and error. Having different samples to try sometimes helps.

Re: formula issues!
The hospital started DS on Similar with Iron and he was SUPER fussy about 10 days after he was born. Since it takes about 10 days for the baby to get used to the formula, he wasn't showing any signs of being uncomfortable while in the hospital. So, we switched him to Enfamil Gentlease and he has been on it ever since! We eventually changed him over to the Target brand that compares to Gentlease and it has been the same plus MUCH cheaper.

Re: formula issues!
Shaylie was on Similac Advanced, but then she started getting constipated and having terrible gas. You could actually hear the gas bubbles in her tummy. I took her to the doctor and she gave me a sample of Gentlease. I have it to Shaylie, but she didn't like it. She actually made a funny face and didn't want her bottle. Then I gave her Goodstart which she likes. She's pooping more often and we don't hear the gas bubbles in her tummy.

I know alot of mommies use gentlease (and target sells a generic version of this for 1/2 price)
