I'm a middle school teacher and made my homeroom cupcakes with pink and blue sprinkles on them and told them that the cupcakes had a message in them. They figured it out pretty quickly and it was SO adorable!

awwww so cute!
I just told the kids after holiday break that I had some big news and they pretty much guessed. I teach grades 1-5 so I told 5th grade first and it was AMAZING how the word got around, it was so cute!

You guys are all so creative! I love your ideas!
As for me, I teach at the HS level and am 28 weeks and haven't told my students yet. Only about 5 students know. I am normally quite private about my personal life and don't chat with my students about things so I haven't said anything.
I am sure that I will have to say something soon but for now I am not discussing it with them.

I can't believe that haven't noticed you are pregnant yet! You must be carrying small (lucky girl!)
I haven't told my class yet- I was thinking of usinng their morning work. I usually give them a few math problems on the board, so I thought I would write one where they had to use the number of people in the room as part of the problem....then let them go nuts when I keep telling them they have the wrong answer. They are pretty sharp, so I think at least one would figure it out (they are dying to know why I keep having drs. appts. anyway- for a while they thought I had cancer!)

How adorable. I teach third grade and now wish I had told them in a more creative way. I told them that I hadbig news and then did a class vote on what they thought the sex was
