Stalker
So there used to be this guy on my bus who always tried to talk to me. I tried to ignore him as much as possible and would wear my ipod but he still tried to talk to me. AND one day he even got off at my stop and walked me to my house and was like "oh this is where you live" and it was totally weird. Anyway he did mention that he was married but he was just so overly friendly with me and it didnt seem normal behavior.
Anyway so I havent seen him in a while, like months, until last night.........he JOINED MY GYM! ARGH. He was there with his wife and I said hi and met his wife and he met DH. DH stared him down for a long time but now I am totally freaked out that I am going to see him all the time Also DH travels alot so I am freaked about going to the gym alone now! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH Ok vent over

UGH- Jerk!
The good thing is that the wife does exist so hes not super creepy, just regular creepy.
I wouldnt worry as long as the gym is crowded and he doesnt follow you again.

Re: Stalker
That is really creepy. I don't blame you for feeling uncomfortable. Keep pepper spray on you or something at the gym when you don't go with DH...haha

well that's a relief that he's just REGULAR creepy. lol. You're too funny.
As for the stalker, he's probably harmless. I used to have a couple of those in my past. But it's better to be safe than sorry. I totally get what you mean about going to the gym alone, esp since he knows where you live and all that. If it were me, I'd have pepperspray with me just in case (I usually do anyway tho. lol).

Re: Stalker
Just make sure if he is there alone & you are alone to not walk to your car alone. Especially in the winter when it gets dark early. Also just a q - why did u walk to your actual home?? I so would have went to a store or a fake house or something. I wouldnt want a guy like that to know where i really live.

Oh my god - I couldnt avoid it. My bus stop it like 3 houses away so I just walked toward my house and next thing I know he is getting off the bus and fast walking to catch up to me. He lives past my house somewhere although I think he moved. Anyway there arent any store or anything near my house. Just condos, townhomes, etc. There is a gas station and a pizza joint like 2 blocks away but I didnt want to go further. UGH

yeah, I know that type I think you're doing all the right things by not feeding into it and trying to ignore him as much as possible. I kind of have to assume that he's just a WEIRDO who doesn't realize how creepy he seems. But still - definitely consider the pepperspray. It's good to have it. I always used to hold it in my hand as I'd walk to the parking lot when I was in college. It made me feel a lot safer.
Maybe you could start going to the gym at a different time though? It would be good to get away from his schedule there (hopefully he won't figure it out & follow you)
(btw - i'm glad he met your husband. I'm surprised he's still coming to talk to you even after getting dagger eyes from him. You'd think a guy would realize. This is what leads to me feel like he's just a strange character)

Re: Stalker
omg how creepy!!!! I agree with Taryn--bring mace with you when this guys around...I dont like the sound of his actions.
if he starts following you around the gym I would tell him up front that he is making you uncomfortable. explain that youre married and dont feel comfortable having him around all the time. make him feel like the creeper he is.
good luck with this one--keep us posted!
