SO, what do we think of the new Citifield.. so far!
I gotta tell you.. i love it.. !!
there were a few things though i was not crazy about.. and i know its not 100% completely done..
but some parts were so dark.. i guess all the lights were not in.. but i didnt like that..
and the outfield walls.. were all black.. are they waiting for advertisements??
but overall its a really pretty ballpark!
oh and i found both our bricks! it took forever though walking in circles.. but it was cool to locate them!!
share your experience !!

I thought it was beautiful! I love the rotunda!
I didn't spend much time walking around since I wanted to see the game (I've worked with a number of the players from St. John's). But my friends took a lot of pictures and they are amazing.

yea i missed the homerun apple too.. i acutally forgot about it !!

We made a beeline for the apple! It was my favorite part of Shea!! I really liked the stadium. It is beautiful and so nice to be able to walk all the way around. I'm still sad it isn't at least named Shea...that was the only stadium I ever know. I told Mitch I want Pepsi Porch seats at least once this season. Not only did we walk the whole thing (a few times) we then did the outside b/c my Dad wanted a pic of the "Bullpen Plaza" sign.  I'm glad we got to go on such a slow day...can't wait for a real game now!!

We loved it! We spent almost the entire time walking around, taking pictures of everything. LOVED taking pics by the old apple, and loved finding our brick.

It was in the fan shop to the right when you get off the escalator coming up from the JRR.

I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the expanded choice of foods (although they weren't all open yet), can't wait to try them all.
I agree with the OP's comment that it was a little 'dark' inside, however i'm sure that will change and maybe due to the fact that it was sooo gross out on Sunday 
My only complaint (and its a minor one) is that i had a hard time finding the bathrooms because they didn't have overhead signs letting you know where they were so you could see them from far away. You had to be ontop of the bathroom before you could see the sign for it. I actually saw several men go into the womens bathrooms because the signs weren't clear
can't wait to see it again tomorrow!
