Honestly, I don't think one has anything to do with the other. But that is JMO. My friend is a teacher and worked until the day before she delivered and she had a rough delivery.

I've heard staying active till the end helps with labor. I'm not sure what sitting at my desk with my feet propped up is going to do to help, though

i'm hoping that with all the walking and working on my feet i do that will just fall out of me...

actually a lot of the people i work with (teaching) have had fairly easy labors so i'm hoping that there is some truth to the "staying active" theory. i'm probably just getting my hopes up though...

Keeping active is ALWAYS good for you and your body. Hang in there:)

I don't think one has anything to do with the other unless your in a job that requires physical movement everyday.

I have a job that I am on my feet all day and I stopped working 2 weeks before I went into labor. I wish I had kept working!! I was so bored and frustrated at home. I had probably the easiest and quickest labor though!

I do believe that keeping active will help you along in labor. I hope it does make it easier bc I am planning on being very active throughout the last couple months of this pregnancy. My job is not really "active" so I am not sure going to work will help at all.

I don't think that it had anything to do with my first two, though I did go almost three weeks early with my second. I was very active up until the day I went in to labor. But the labor itself was about 18 hours. Sorry if that was not the answer you were hoping for...

I was very active until the end and had an easy labor. I really believe there is something to it. I know walking and swimming keep you toned.

I'm not sure about the labor part but I was very active at work up until dr. put me on modified bed rest and now I feel every ache and pain.

Staying active, I did feel pain when I came home from work, but now it's just harder for me to move around, get up, etc. It may just be that I'm nearing the end and would feel this way anyway but who knows.
