A note to all the new moms going back to work
I see a lot of posts about moms going back to work after having DC, with the normal concerns- will they remember me? will they know I'm their mommy? Will they love the caretaker more than me?
As a mom who has worked since DD was 3 months old as a full time lawyer, I can tell you- no matter what- your DC will know you are thier mommy.
Jordana was had every child care situation imaginable: daycare first, then a nanny from 8 months-2 years, then my mom when my nanny quit for 4 months and back to daycare.
I can tell you with no doubt, my three year old not only always knows who her mommy is, but she is a total mommy's girl. Everytime I pick her up, she runs to me. She wants me to hold her hand - even this morning when DH changed her. She wants me to do everything I can to be with her and even when we sit on the couch, she likes to hold my hand or sit on my lap.
Now, there were the days I thought she would be a daddy's girl when all she wanted was daddy. But I'll take that.
So despite working 8-10 hour days since she was born, DD knows I am her mommy and loves me more than anyone.
So while your concerns are normal, just remember, if you give your child love, they will know that it is special- because a mother's love is so special.

That was very nice Thank you for posting.
My son has been in daycare for 7 months, since he was 14 months and I know that I have made the right decision and he is a mommy's boy all the way
You made my morning!

so true, no matter what, you will raise your children and they will know who mommy is
remember, the 1st week back to work is the hardest but it does get easier

Great post! As a mom who put her DS in daycare since 3 months, it is difficult and you always have those doubts, but it is true that your child always knows who mom is!

great post -- DS has been there for 18 months now....and he has absolutely no confusion as to who his mommy is.
Many hugs to all mommies who are coming up to this point...it'll all be ok!

This is so true! My DD has been in daycare since 3 1/2 months. She is now 11 months and is very attached to me! She wants me to hold her all of the time when we're home and chooses me over other people all the time. She loves her teachers and does great with them, but when I come to pick her up she always comes right to me. They always know their Mama
