I was on BCP about 2 months prior to starting my first IVF cycle, but that's because I don't have a regular cycle and didn't want to go on provera to bring on my period before starting.

Total time from start of IVF cycle was about 6 weeks.

I overlapped Lupron with the BCP for 5 days, then stopped BCP, got my "lupron period" 2-3 days later. Went for CD3 bloodwork prior to starting stims. My first IVF cycle I stimmed for 13 days and did a 3 day transfer. I got a BFP, but miscarried. I had to wait until my beta went down to 5 or below to cycle again.

My 2nd cycle, I was on BCP for 2 weeks, before starting Lupron. My protocol stayed the same as above, but my Gonal-F doseage was increased right from the start and I stimmed for 9 days and again did a 3 day transfer. From start to finish, it was also 6 weeks.

I just finished my first IVF cycle and from day 1 until the day of my transfer was about 5 1/2 weeks.

Basically, I was on BCP for 3 weeks and the last week overlapped with Lupron. I then started stimming and took Gonal-F, Menopur, and Lupron. I stimmed for about 8 days. I triggered the day after that and had my retreival 36 hours after I tiggered. I did a 3 day transfer last week. Now, I am waiting to see if it was successful

I am not doing BCP, I did shots of Lupron before AF started for a week b/c I have Luteal Phase Defect.

My protocol of drugs this time is WAAAAY different then both other cycles I did.

Everyone is different.
