Unintentionally hurtful question
We were out for our friend's birthday on Saturday (3 days after M/C), and at one point (after he had been drinking for several hours), he cornered us, and said, "so, when are you two planning on having kids?" He went on to talk about how he and his DW are thinking about having kids about a year from now. He then asked our other friends, who I know have been trying to TTC for a few months, the same question, and said, "One of you are going to be the first from our group." I literally stared down at the table the entire time, while willing myself not to burst into tears and run from the table. I don't even remember how DH responded.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know your friend didn't mean anything by it (I'm assuming he doesn't know about the MC). Once he and his DH start TTC, I am sure they will understand that some seemingly innocuous statements can be loaded. I'm sorry you had to head that-huggy:
