Caribbean flight question

which areas in caribbean are direct flight from nyc??. we will be travelling with a 1 year old and would like to avoid a lay over

We have flown American non-stop to St. Thomas. You could also do Puerto Rico or the Bahamas. I think there are direct flights to Aruba and Jamaica as well.

Most airlines fly direct to all the major cities in the caribbean - however, you also have to make sure to select that flight because many of them also serve connections through Miami, Atanta, Charleston, etc depending on the airline hub.

We've flown direct to Nassau, Bahamas via Delta and US Air and to Punta Cana, DR via American Air.

You may also find that there are direct flights to certain islands but only on select days of the week. For example, when we went on our honeymoon, AA flew directly to St. Lucia, but only on Sundays.

You can fly direct into Puerto Rico and most of the main cities in the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo, and maybe a couple of others).
