you can have them baptized whenever you want. DS was 3 months old.

In my cathloic church you have to attend a baptism calss. You can make the class while pg or after the baby is born.
the earliest I baptized my Dc was 4 weeks and the latest was 7 1/2 weeks. I always do it early no matter what the season is.

We baptized our son at 3 months old.
(My girlfriend always baptizes her children at 6 weeks old)

DS will be baptised at 7 weeks old. We had it planned since before he was born mostly because the godparents and grandparents live out of state.

We baptized DD at 8 months, but that is late. Most people I know do it within 2-3 months.

We did it at 3 months but I don't recall any min or max age.
At our church they held baptisms every 3rd Sat of the month and as many babies that are signed up for that month are baptized.
We had to go to one class beforehand.
You should go in and see when they typically schedule baptisms.

whenever.... just keep in mind the day will be long, so newborns will likely get fussy as the day does on....
DS was baptized at 4.5 months. If we could do it again, we'd wait longer. He freaked out throughout the party. DH and DS basically didn't attend... they were in a seperate room with him screaming at the top of his lungs for hours

Not necessarily. DS was baptized at 7 weeks. He fell asleep at the church, slept through the baptism and his entire party.

DD we did at 5 1/2 months
This baby we will probably due right before Ash Wed- beginning of Feb- around 2 months.

DD was 5 months. We had to wait for the Lenten season to end, otherwise we would have done it sooner.

We did it at three months (DS was a few days shy of his three-month b-day) and the priest was all: Why haven't you done it already?   Huh?

As others have said - there are no minimum or maximum ages. You are welcome into the church at any time. Robbie was 8 months and Noah celebrated his Christening on his 1st birthday!
And my sister? She didn't get Christened into the Catholic faith until she was 29!!!!!!

I remember when one of my nephews was baptised a child that was getting baptised that day as well WALKED up the aisle. There is no age restriction.

i think it's the complete opposite! DS was baptized at 2 months and slept through the WHOLE church and party! if we had it now, forget it. he'd be all over the place.
i want to have this baby baptized at 2 months as well, but that will be january, so i'm just not sure.
