Re: Boppy Pillow or My Brest Friend Pillow - for Feedings?
i loved my breast friend...found it a lot easier to feed DS for the short time I breastfeed him. I recommended it to other friends who had DC after me and they also agreed it was better then the boppy. But you have to see which works better for you. We ended up using the boppy to putDS in to let him take a nap on or just hang out next to us, as he was very comfy on it

Same here. I found I could just not find a comfortable position for either myself or DD with the Boppy for BFing.

I used the Boppy for forever and was always happy with it, though I never tried the other one so I can't compare them.

Re: Boppy Pillow or My Brest Friend Pillow - for Feedings?
The lactation consultant recommended the My Brest Friend and I loved it. I BFed for almost 9 months and it was much more comfortable for me than the Boppy. The Boppy was useful for things like helping to prop up DD and tummy time.
The Brest Friend is nice b/c you strap it around your waist and it stays in place and offers support. I think a lot also depends on what position you BF.
Both were useful for me but I much preferred the Brest Friend for feeding.

Re: Boppy Pillow or My Brest Friend Pillow - for Feedings?
i would highly recommend the My Brest Friend for BF over the Boppy. I use MBF all the time & prefer it. The Boppy I only use in bed for convenience & I find it annoying. It doesn't sit up high enough for me (I'm tall).

for breastfeeding, the "breast friend pillow" is much better, IMO

I could have written this myself.
I was determined to BF, but I had a ruptured disc in my back, and BF was downright EXCRUCIATING for me. I thought the Boppy was the best thing ever for BF...until my lactation consultant showed me the Brest Friend and for once, I could sit there and feed her without pain!! I literally would have given up on BF if it hadn't been for this pillow.
If your back if perfectly fine, you're not gonna feel how much you hunch over and strain to BF with the Boppy. But for me, I felt it.
Don't get me wrong, the Boppy is great for other stuff--it's great for propping her up to watch tv But I've recommended the Brest Friend to 2 people so far, and they've both said it's the best $40 they spent.

Re: Boppy Pillow or My Brest Friend Pillow - for Feedings?
I had both---kept one in the living room and the other in her nursery. My Brest Friend was better as we were trying to get the hang of it. Once we knew what we were doing, it didn't matter what we used. Now I just use a pillow from my bed if we're in my room, a pillow from the couch in the living room, and the boppy if we are in her nursery. If we're out, I use a coat, blanket, her diaper bag, or nothing.

I don't have any experience with the brest friend pillow- but the boppy pillow did nothing for me when I was trying to BF.

Re: Boppy Pillow or My Brest Friend Pillow - for Feedings?
I have both. When DD was really little, I liked MBF. But now she is bigger, I like the Boppy, although I haven't tried MBF in awhile. I like the Boppy too b/c I put her on it after a feeding to keep her upright so she doesn't spit up so much. Honestly, I think its the kind of thing you have to try to know what you like. However, 2 lactation consultants I spoke to like MBF.
