Hate it- that's too strong a word but I definitely don't love it. I love the end result and love feeling but that's about it. I had a horrendous 1st trimester, throwing up all the time, when that subsided a bit it turned into horrible acid reflux and then sciatica pain and now my hernia hurts so badly that I can't stand up sometimes. I'm grateful for the oxytocin which will make me forget how horrible the pregnancy was and then I will be able to get pregnant at least 2x more. I would love to have 3 children.
Wow-you have a hernia too..I thought I was the only one. What are were your symptoms? Is is in you groin area? what do you do for it if anything at all? Basically my doc said there is nothing they could do and just take it easy. It's not that bad by I actually have two. She said that I prob had a weakening and being pregant brought them on.

I have had the hernia since I was young, it's an inguinal hernia which is in the groin area. When we started TTC I called a hernia doctor and he told me that I could wait to have the surgery till after I gave birth...well, I shouldn't have listened to that because the pain is horrible! My OB recommended I wear a maternity belt to help with the pressure but it really doesn't seem to work. He explained to me that the round ligament goes through the inguinal canal and sometimes the pain becomes referred pain and the whole area is painful. That is what I have, my hoo haa feels like it's in a constant fist and there is intense pain that radiates through my lower pelvis. The best thing that I do to alleviate the pain is to lay down when it gets to be too much. I have also noticed that the pain is worse if I am standing still so when I do my errands I walk REALLY fast HTH

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
I don't totally hate being pregnant; although, if I were responding to this poll during my first trimester, I probably would have said I did hate it. I guess I'm kind of indifferent to it. Don't get me wrong, I am utterly amazed every time I feel my baby move. I'm brought close to tears when I see her sweet little face on a sonogram or hear her heartbeat-- and I'm so proud that DH and I made her. On the other hand, I'm really not loving my body right now. I feel big and gross. My back hurts at night, and my hands and feet are swollen. Sleeping is a chore because I can never get comfortable. (I guess I have a lot of complaints!)
To sum it all up, I love what DH and I have created and I'm so grateful that I have been given the gift of pregnancy because I know the struggle we had getting here. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I plan to! But I certainly don't love everything about it.

Ladies - how do you feel about being pregnant?
I absolutely LOVE being pregnant! I feel healthy, pretty, and I love feeling that little life inside of me growing. I'm having a very easy pregnancy and I think this contributes to how much I love it.
I know that not everyone feels like this and I realize how incredibly lucky I am.
This is how I felt with my 1st pregnancy. This time it is total opposite. I feel guilty every day because I actually really do not like being pregnant this time. Hormones suck!

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
I honestly love the feeling of being PG...aside from the cervical issue I have had no really bad issues and I truly love feeling him grow and move inside of me. Even the hiccups make me smile.
I'm sad that I have this whole cervical issue and had to do bedrest for the bulk of the pregnancy cuz I really would have loved to enjoy it to the fullest.

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
I absolutely HATED it until now. Now I miss being pregnant. I'm actually sad that I can't feel him kicking inside of me, I don't have anymore doctors appointments, no more heart dopplers or sonos. It's rather silly since he's here in real life, I guess I'm just having the blues

I absolutely hate it and I feel bad saying it. I dont have control over my body. I can't eat anything that is actually good for me. my clothes already don't fit and I'm on the worst emotional rollercoaster ever.

I feel like hate is too strong a word. I certainly dislike being pregnant though. I didn't like it the 1st time around and I still don't like it this second time. I always end up with some complication and I miss my body.

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
I love being pregnant, and I'm just now starting to enjoy the pregnancy. The first 17 weeks were not fun at all with nausea and fatigue, but the past 7 have been better and now that work is slowing down I feel like I can finally start to enjoy being pregnant and get excited for the baby's arrival.

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
Depends on the day.
I love having the baby inside of me and knowing that I am going to be a mom. When I feel the baby move it's such a thrill! I can't wait to see the baby on Monday, as I love every sonogram (chance to see my Peanut). I dream about this baby and love reading about all the fascinating things it's doing inside me or how big it's gotten.
That being said, there are days I feel a little miserable. I have lots of aches and I'm only half way through. I'm tired and a little stressed out and I feel like the world expects too much from me sometimes. I also hate some of the disrespectful/dumb comments I/DH have gotten, even from family members. Like my dad telling DH (DH works for him) that he will not allow him to leave work to pick up the baby from daycare during the busy season when I work until 7:30 at night! Things like that just make me feel isolated and sad...and I hate to say it, it makes me cry...like me being pregnant is a big inconvenience to the world or something. I don't think some people are sensitive or even want to try to understand what a pregnant woman goes through. I mean, in all honesty, how much is my DH's life really going to change? Our lives are completely different. It's a welcomed change, but change none-the-less.
It would just be nicer if I had more understanding people around me I guess. People who understood that after sitting in traffic for over an hour after a long day of work and after a very interrupted sleep the night before that my back is throbbing by the time I get home and I am tired and I don't care if the whole place falls down as long as I can lay down for 5 minutes w/ a pillow between my legs and just relax for a minute.
Wow, sorry for the long response. Pity party over here.

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
With my first pregnancy, after the morning sickness passed completely (about 10 wks) I LOVED being pregnant. Thank God I had an easy pregnancy with no complications and so that made it easy to enjoy. I gained weight in a way that was all belly so I felt cute and happy in that sense too (b/c lets be honest these things matter ). I actually was in no hurry to give birth and was sad not to be pregnant anymore. I loved having dS in my belly and feeling him move around and being able to keep him safe inside of me...
As for this pregnancy the jury is still out. I'm still feeling sick at 10 wks and it is SO hard being pregnant and having a toddler - I'm not hating it but, if it continues like this where I am feeling not so good and having to push myself with DS I can see being in a rush to get this baby here But, that said, its still early so who knows!

Well, all I can say is that I hope you feel better soon :). Will you be having a natural delivery with all of that pain and pressure down there? My docotor didnt mention anything about delivery yet. Either way, I'm def not in that much pain but have not suffered from this for very long. Mine is also in the groin area and it is a femoral hernia. Thanks for the advice and once again I hope you get some relief soon

Re: Pregnancy - Love it or Hate it?
I hated it especially the 2nd PG because I had to chase a 2 1/2 yr old around and that is hard when PG.
But I want to do it again but for the end result not to be PG. I am very active with my DS and being PG really limited me with him
