Which bank account does the CS come from?

I don't remember if this has already been spoken about on here, but I was wondering how you pay CS? Does it come out of an account solely in DH's name or a joint account?

We don't have a legal court ordered arrangement with BM. We have our paychecks direct deposited into a joint account and then I transfer the CS into an account in DH's name only and that's where he cuts the check from. I don't want my name associated with the CS payments but am I associated anyway b/c I transfer the money from a joint account? Is there a better or smarter way to be doing this?

We also have direct deposit and everything goes into our joint checking account. I write the CS checks out from that account and I'm even the one who signs it; tho Kevin's name is on the checks as well of course.

We both have separate checking accounts as well as a joint checking account. DH pays child support from his separate checking account under his name only.

DH maintains his own account for the purpose of paying child support. He deposits his paychecks into his account and (once we get all of the joint accounts going, we only recently got married) he will transfer money for living expenses into the joint account.

I also maintain my own accounts, so I can pay for my students loans, family stuff, etc without ever touching a joint account.

DH and I have separate checking accounts mainly for this purpose. He feels the child support should not come from our joint earnings, plus the extra expenses he ends up paying during the year towards SD. I am fine with this as I prefer to keep our money separate.

DH keeps a seperate account just for C/S- its easier for him to track that way

DH has his CS garnished from his paycheck (his choosing not court ordered) b/c he didnt want the hassle of writing out the check....

Any of the extras are written, by him, on our joint account..
