Music....playlist for Labor n delievery
OK so I am a music freak. I do listen to just about everything and I wanted to start to put a playlist together and thought I would get everyones input!
Do you have a certain style of music you want for labor (I may want something a bit heavy at times)
and here's the biggy what song would you want to deliever your baby to if it could be timed right?
I haven't really picked mine yet but Creed - Higher just came on and I got all emotional (although I have a feeling thats just hormones today)

I'll probably go pretty mellow with things like Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, The Fray, Jack Johnson. As for a specific song, I can't think of anyting off the top of my head, but let me give it some thought. It's a very interesting question. Hhhhmmmmm......

Re: Music....playlist for Labor n delievery
unfortunately it's not in my cards to have a playlist.
labor was pretty short for me the first time around - no time for any relaxing stuff. this time promises to be the same or shorter, so i'm really just hoping to get to the hospitals with the bare essentials

I know at Huntington the LND room has a cd player in it... When I went on tour there she said they have heard all kinds of music during LND
I want some relaxing music but I also want some music thats going to give me that boost of energy if and when I need it!

I'm bringing the portable speakers for my iPod and knowing me I will probably keep playing Hootie & The Blowfish and Darius Rucker over and over (and DH will be shutting it off! )

Re: Music....playlist for Labor n delievery
I made a Cd of songs that made me feel good, and calom and listened to it on the way to the hospital while I was in labor...never got a chance inside as I had a C/s but It DID help on the way there.
IT was a total JUMBLE of songs, all music types. anything that made me feel really good inside, or calm and relaxed.

I always thought that song, because when I arrive, I bring the fire would be completely appropriate. LOL I don't remember the exact title, but those are some of the lyrics.

Re: Music....playlist for Labor n delievery
I listened to U2, Dave Mathews, and other really low-key tunes. I'm happy I remembered to pack my iPod and portable docking station in my hospital bag!
