Herniated Disc...
So about two and a half years ago, I vacuumed out my car and I have never been the same. One simple act of automotive hygiene has had me in agony for ages now, I had herniated a disc by doing very little and in these two and a half years, I have had maybe six flare ups, the one this last week being the WORST ever. I have been in bed since Sunday, and laying on my tummy since Tuesday (its now Friday) I am in absolute agony and can barely look after myself, let alone my family.
I have been seeing a physiotherapist who has helped me greatly, but I am so bad that I have had to cancel my trip to Long Island this weekend...its a nightmare.
Can anyone share their experiences for me, how they dealt, how they coped after the flare up calmed down, and their management plan for the long term, and how many painful flareups do I have before I decide surgery is my only/best option.
And if anyone dealt with this in pregnancy, I would really appreciate it.
TIA!!!

Re: Herniated Disc...
I had one- had surgery a couple of years ago to fix it. I would def. look into it if you are in a lot of pain- it's a pretty simple surgery and my experience was that the pain went completely away.
There is a girl on here who dealt with this while pregnant (MrsRivera I think?) last year. You might want to get in touch with her....if I recall she had a really hard time. If you can, you might want to take care of it before getting pregnant, as I would imagine the extra weight and pressure would be a bit of a nightmare.
