Hives?

I broke in red bumps about a week and a half ago and i figured it was hives. The bumps are pretty much gone but i still get so itchy and after scratching some of the bumps reappear. Does this sound like hives? I was going to cal teh doctor but not sure if i should go to my internist or a dermatologist?
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure what they are, but I would say the dermatologist is the one I would make an appt with.

It's possible it's a reaction to the heat......
