Spin off to insurance - copays
How much do you girls pay for sono visits? We pay $25 per visit but it starts adding up very quickly!

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
You're all going to hate me, but I pay $5. My first IVF cycle will be only the $5 copays and the storage fee for the frozen embies. Cryopreservation was covered. I ended up paying $69 for my meds, and most of that was for sharps container & needles.

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
I don't pay anything for sono's. However, i did when I was at a different RE. Isn't that wierd? (well as long as they put it through insurance I don't pay it). Back then it was $40 a visit. That was getting old very quickly.

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
I paid $20 per IUI cycle. They don't charge for each visit. Hmmm...I wonder if it's the dr or the insurance who decides that.

Because I had used a Center of Excellence, we had no co-pay.

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
In 2008 we paid $20 for every RE visit. In 2009, it went up to $50 every visit. Ugh!
Just one more reason to be thankful that our IVF cycle in February worked. We went 11 days straight in January!

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
I paid $20 for visits to Dr. B becasue we worked out a deal.
Some doctors bill $20 for sono then another $20 for the office visit!
LI IVF was nothing because they were a center of excellence for me.

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
I envy all of you, mine is 40 bucks per visit. It really annoys me how much insurance costs, plus all the co pays, it all adds up.

Re: Spin off to insurance - copays
None, but with our insurance, we pay 80/20, so I pay 20% of whatever the charge is.
Yeah, this just gets better and better....

I have The empire Plan for NY state employees. No to be mistake with Empire Blue cross blue shield. We also do not play any co-pays as long as I go to a center of excellence.
