I kiss my kid anywhere I can - her cheeks, her lips, her head and the bottom of her feet (it makes her giggle).

As someone else who has suffered from cold sores since childhood, I tried my hardest to not let DD kiss me on my lips. But she does, and she loves it, so as long as I haven't had a sore (haven't had one in years, knock on wood!), I still let her smooch me on the lips.
However, DH doesn't kiss DD on the lips, and I don't really love other people kissing her on the lips...right or wrong, I don't like it, esp. considering germs, etc.

I kiss my DD all over! When I ask her for a kiss she will usually give me her cheek, sometimes I get the lips and I LOVE them!! She really only gives Dh and I lip kisses - everyone else gets the cheek.

I never even thought of lip kissing
I dont kiss my father that way and he mostly raised us and im pretty sure mom never got kisses either.
Hubby and I kiss on the lips but not all the time or everyday.
I kiss AJ everywhere. But her slobbery mouth isnt really a kiss like you'd think. to kiss. Its more like me kissing a wet lip
Then.. one day.. for no really good reason.. i was holding her and she was doing her usual look arounding watch the cats and basically be distracted when... all of a sudden SUPER SERIOUS DIRECT EYE CONTACT STARE. I rarely see her so serious so i smiled back at her and she just stared at me and my face then grabbed both of my cheeks and leaned in.. gave me a super slobbery kiss all over my lips and then she leaned back and smiled.
It was like two seconds but my heart stopped. I got kissed!!! 
Hubby is still jealous!
She loves her belly sides being kissed, her feet and her forehead :D
She puts her forehead on toys and ppl to show its a kiss. its so cute!

not a mommy yet, but i feel very strongly about lip kisses.
HSV 1 (cold sores - a form of herpes) is transmitted through contact - even if the person doesn't currently have an active sore. I've suffered from cold sores since I was a little kid, and this is how I got the virus.
No one will be kissing my child on the lips - not mommy, daddy, or anyone else.
This is one of my main reasons, in addition to regular cold and flus being pased. I would go nuts if anyone kissed my DD on the lips. The virus can be passed when an active sore isn't present. So to me, that's NO ONE's place to kiss my DD on the lips. DH and I dont kiss DD on the lips. Luckily we don't b/c DH got a cold sore (after years of never having one) when DD was just 2 mths old, and that can be deadly to a newborn whose mother has no immunities (I never had one in my life so I have no immunities to pass).
I know my ILs would kiss my DD on the lips but they know how i feel about that and I would flip if they disrespected that.

I hear ya. Many ignorant people out there who don't realize it's a virus that can be passed, can be deadly to a newborn and lifelong virus that stays with you.

And I'll tell ya, life is too short to stop a small child from kissing mommy, daddy or a family member on the lips! Last week when we were away, DS kissed every single family member (all 20 of em) before bed and it was the CUTEST thing EVER

I kiss both of kids everywhere unless someone is not feeling well. Then it is only forehead and cheek kisses.

i usually kiss DD on her forehead or her cheaks.... i dont know why i just dont feel right kissing her on the lips. if when shes older she wants to kiss on the lips, fine, but only me and FH, i wouldnt like anyone else kissing her on the lips.

I see so many parents kissing their children on the lips. I see nothing wrong with it, I however kiss Frankie everywhere but lips!! But I wanted to post b/c one night I was eating at a restaurant & the waitress started kissing my son all over the place. It made me very uncomfortable but she wasnt doing anything to harm him so I didnt react. Anyway, she finally did end up kissing him on the lips I was sooooooo mad...I dont even do that!! I think that was completely inappropriate
