Please Recc a Non-Constipating Formula
Obviously what works for some might now work for others, but what worked for your DC?
For the record, my DD is 5 weeks.
TIA!

I agree with Kate! This is the kind of thing you need to ask your child's doctor.

My son's done great on Good Start. And he had some issues when he was younger even on BM.

Re: Please Recc a Non-Constipating Formula
emma poops at least once a day on Similac Isomil (their soy version).
for constipation - we were told to (before switching):
1. thermometer up the touche (but i could never do it).
2. do exercises with their legs (bicycle and bring the knees to the belly gently) - this worked for us TWICE - but PREPARE for the amount of doody you'll get. We had mount poopy twice.

We use the Similac Sensitive also, I found that the Enfamil brand made my DD so constipated.

Re: Please Recc a Non-Constipating Formula
I also agree with Kate - I would talk to your ped before switching any formula. In the first few weeks my son was gassy on Similac Advance, but we would use the Mylicon drops and within a few weeks his system got better and adapted to it. It just takes time - this is all new to them.

Re: Please Recc a Non-Constipating Formula
With both of my daughters we had issues in the beginning which we spoke to with our pediatrician. My now-toddler responded well to the Mylicon drops with her Similac. My 8 week old did not respond to the gas drops and her pediatrician switched her to similac sensitive. When that proved to also not be working well, he then switched her to Alimentum which seems to be better.

Re: Please Recc a Non-Constipating Formula
As recommended by our ped we give 1-2 oz of water in between feedings and this works like magic!
