Will you get the swine flu vaccine? - POLL
So I'm just curious how many of us are considering getting the swine flu vaccine. It's really being pushed for pregnant women to get it... yet I just read a post on the NFR board that makes me want to reconsider getting the shot. Ugh...
Maybe I will just lock myself in the house and not come out until the baby is born in December.

i voted no because ive never gotten a flu shot before and i dont think getting my first one while pregnant is smart. i dont know how i will react to it.

Nope...I think its rushed and too new. My DR is prego and she aid she wouldn't even get it.

This is how I feel. We are basically guinea pigs to it since it was just thrown together.

I trust my doc on this so will do whatever he suggests. I get the flu shot every year and have never had a reaction and don't get sick. I had the flu shot while preggo last time.

same here and i never get the flu shot the only reason i am this year it because i am pregnant no way in hell i am getting the swine flu vaccine way to new for me and if this vaccine in anyway hurt my baby i would kill someone  (no swine flu vac for me )

I'm so confused about it. From what I can gather, It's a much more dangerous flu than the regular flu for pregnant women.
I've never gotten a flu shot, and I wouldn't get the regular flu shot, because I've never gotten the flu as an adult, if I did it felt more like a bad cold.
But this new virus scares me.

The whole thing scares me! I dont know WHAT to do! I'm a hs guidance counselor and I do not want to be around the kids! My office is tiny and I am waay too close to kids who don't always practice the best hygiene and are often sick!
