Nausea?

Hi ladies.....

I was wondering if you had nausea during your first trimester and if so when did it finally stop? I'm having a rough time with it as I feel sick most of the day and have major food aversions and never know what to eat! I'm not sure if my prenatal vitamins have anything to do with it.....I didn't take them yesterday morning and actually felt pretty good all day. I did take them last night and woke up this morning starving.

Welcome to "morning" sickness. It's really all day sickness. Mine ended at 14 weeks. You'll make it through, hang in there

At 15 weeks I wake up and think, its so nice not to be nauseous first thing in the morning, and a few minutes later the smell of DH hair gel gets to me and I start gagging.

It started at 6 weeks for me, and is slowly slowly slowly making its way on out...

The trick for me has been to keep eating small bites of things I adore to eat or craving for. And when it comes to mealtime, eat really small portion or split it up throughout the day. I've learned that if I get hungry and I don't eat, really bad nausea will follow.

I was barely eating for a month and docs said it was ok as long as I got enough water and taking prenatals.

If it ever gets to the point where you can't keep down water, then its serious. Talk to your doctor about what you can do about it. They put me on Zofran.

it's all day sickness! Mine lasted a few weeks into my 2nd trimester! Hang in there!!

I totally hear you. There are days where I am nauseous allll day. It comes and goes somedays' it's bad someday's not so bad...I'm 11w3d.

I keep hearing it will get better. In the meantime I try to eat when I am hungry, becasue if I don't I feel even more sick. Also, the dry saltines really do help me.

ugh, as I sit here at work, I keep smelling something naassssty i have no clue what it is or where it is coming from (this is my version of m/s ... weird smells)

i am 8 weeks and its going strong. feel better, most say it ends when the second tri starts though it goes a little bit longer for some

I am right there with you. I am 8w3d and am naseous ALL day long. Luckily I don't vomit, but it is soooo annoying. I eat, but I am not really interested in food no matter what is is. Food isn't fun anymore. I am counting down the days til the 2nd tri! Hang in there. We will get through this

Thank you everyone for your replies.....it makes me feel a little better that I'm not alone. I'm going to definitely get some saltines and try to eat more so I don't get hungry. Great advice. Can't wait until the 2nd Trimester......5 more weeks to go

mine stopped around 13 weeks.
i didnt eat much during the day except for ginger ale and ginger snap cookies and it literally would take me an hour to eat one cookie, sometimes i could eat bagel

for dinner i ate pizza every night, but i couldnt eat until like 10 pm for some reason (i think thats when my hungry kicked in and pushed the nausea aside)

I'm 16 weeks and it is finally starting to disappear. I am starting to feel normal again. Hopefully it was last and not come back! Feel better! It will be over before you know it!
