rice constipation?
soo i started DD on rice cereal last weekend. she eats (now, after like 3 tester days) 4ts w/ 1oz breastmilk.
she hasn't pooped all day && has been realllllly cranky & crying most of day. totally not like her.
coudl it be constipation??
what do i do??

My dd gets easily constipated. Ive tried many formulas and I finally found that gentlease worked the best...perfectly. So in that sense..I skipped over the rice and went straight for the oatmeal. The oatmeal is great! She is doing just fine.

Same thing happened to DS...we just switched to oatmeal and it worked great.

Rice cereal definitely causes constipation. I spoke to my pediatrician about what I could do. I tried a little bit of pear juice diluted with water although DS hated it. Prunes definitely worked the best.

We just stopped the rice and went right to oatmeal. In a few days.. he was fine.
you could try stimulating DC to poop with the thermometer in the rear end.. I haven't tried it... but, I hear it works.
