Rice cereal and constipation
If your DC became constipated from rice cereal did you stop giving it to them or did their stomach's adjust to it?

i would try at least one or two more times. their stomachs need time to adjust to new foods. if the constipation continues you can always give 2oz of water and 2oz of prune juice to help.

I stopped and went to oatmeal. They don't need rice per se.

My DD ate more of it when I added fruit to it. I started with oatmeal though and now rice. I guess I will try another day or so.

Same here. Rice constipated him, barley gave him awful gas but oatmeal was just right!!!

My ds already goes every other day so my ped said to just use oatmeal or barley b/c rice would constipate him,

her stomach got used to it, but in the begininng I think I was making it too thick , so I made it more liquidy to let her tummy get used to it, now I can make it thick and she is fine.
Also , is your DC on fruit? The applesauce makes Katie poop all day long so that has kept her from getting constipated

I would go to oatmeal. I gave DS rice once and it backed him up for 3 days - I stopped it for a few weeks.
I just tried again tonight - if he gets constipated again, I'll go to oatmeal, or wait until he is older.
