Exercise??

I've been struggling with this. I don't have a gym memebership anymore and it's been hard to go for walks during lunch. So my exercise conists of commuting Chat Icon .

1 - How does everyone get their exercise in?
2 - When do you make time to exercise?
3 - What do you do for exercise? DVD's? Walk?

Exercise? What's that? Chat Icon

In all seriousness, I try to walk on weekends and do the bike at the chiro.

I have Wii Fit and it is fun, but I have to get it set up.

Re: Exercise??

I try to work out 2-3 days a week. Lately I'm lucky if I do 2 days. I run after work for 30 min.s for 1 or 2 nights during the week, than run on saturday for a 30 min.s to an hour, than take a class at lucille on sunday mornings. Lately, I usually only do one weeknight run of 30 min.s and than either my longer run on saturday or the class on sunday but usually not both. It all depends on the weather too since I run outside.

I gave up too - I wish I had stuck with it because I know it helps with recovery!

I walk on my commute right now and try to walk at home an additional 3-4x a week. It's harder now that it's cold and dark out!

Is lifting food to my face considered exercising?

I don't get any exercise other than crawling, lifting or chasing a 1 year old.

I use wii fit too, especially since I don't like walking outside unless weather is optimal. Wii fit is great for me. I love it, and there is enough variety in the base programs to keep me interested.

But I think we have to keep our heart rate from going to fast, just keep the exercise moderate.

Re: Exercise??

I walk a mile to and from work each day (weather depending). I also walk the dog twice a day. I do T-Tapps for 15 mins 2-3 times a week in the morning and yoga once a week in the evening.

What's T-Tapps? and do you do yoga in a class or a DVD?

Re: Exercise??

It's really frustrating because I was in such good shape before and now, in addition to the baby weight, my body is going to mush!

I do have a gym membership so I go 2-3 nights a week and then TRY to get in a day on the weekend. I've been waking up about an hour earlier (not voluntarily) so I've decided to use that time well and do some floor exercises (leg lifts, stretches) and free weights that I got at Target for about a half hour in the morning. Today was day 1. I also have the Wii fit so maybe I'll do that at night.

Re: Exercise??

I was working out at the gym until last week when I found out I was dilated. Then this week I found out I'm 3 cm, so I might go a few more times if DH is there. Besides that I walk a lot and fast due to my commute, and for a while I was walking from my house to the train station, which was about a mile. I would get out while the weather isn't bad and walk at a park. The fresh air is good and it makes me feel better than staying in with an exercise video.
