Thinking about changing docs...
So I'm thinking about changing docs next time I get a BFP since DH didn't really like my current doc and maybe i'm being a little superstitious but maybe change could be good?
I'm currently at LI womens health care and I've seen Dr. Kutcham and Dr. Gates.
I haven't tried Dr. Glasser at that practice yet...
Anyone use her, or can recommend another doc in the south shore areas like merrick - massapequa? Lady docs only and night hours really really helpful!!!
TIA

Re: Thinking about changing docs...
I don't have any experience with that practice but I absolutely love my doc. Her name is Dr. Aimee Leo, she's located in N. Babylon (prob about 15 min from massapequa). It's her and her fathers practice, he is very nice as well. She's very easy to talk to, very nice. When I had my d&c she sat with me before the procedure holding my hand and just talking to me.

Re: Thinking about changing docs...
i am sorry to crash - i saw Dr. Glasser once with my last pregnancy and i'll be honest, she didn't have the best "bedside" manner. i personally would not recommend seeing her, although i love that office (Dr. Gates did my c-section).
if you want, try posting this on the pregnancy board, i bet some ladies there would have a great recommendation for you.

Thanks! I'm thinking that might be a little far for me but I have to map it ;) I don't know anything about that hospital, does it have a good rep?

Re: Thinking about changing docs...
I'm switching doctors as well after this miscarriage. He was not helpful or comforting at all and I know when I get my BFP i'm going to need someone better to fit my needs because I will probably be a mess lol. Anyway my SIL and MIL both recommended Dr. Christine Mcrae in Bellmore. I'll be calling this week to make an apt.

Re: Thinking about changing docs...
My doctor is in Franklin Square and he delivers at LIJ. There are 2 doctors in the practice; male and female. I saw the female doctor post d&c and dealt with the male doctor at all my appts and he is the one who ultimately performed the d&c. I believe I have posted before on how wonderful he was and how great the staff at LIJ is. (thats where I had the d&c)
If anyone is interested Ill post the practice info.

Re: Thinking about changing docs...
Jenna, I go to the same practice as you. I went about a year ago for a regular check up with Dr. Glasser, and loved her. She delivered my friend's baby, and my friend was thrilled with her.
Since then, I got PG, and saw Dr. Nathanson at the time, and then MCed and saw Dr. Kuncham. I did not like Nathanson, but I really liked Kuncham. However, it bothers me that my initial doctor, Dr. Glasser, knows nothing about my MC. I just made an appt. to see her in November for a checkup...but hopefully I'll be PG by then.

with my first Pregnancy i saw kuncham and then gates when we lost it and she did the d&c. then with the second i couldn't get an appt with gates so i went back to kuncham and even though i liked her enough, she wasn't very supportive when we lost the 2nd and DH didn't really care for her. His opinion matters to me, so I don't think I'll be going back there, even though they have great hours and facilities...i just think i need some new mojo, ya know?

Re: Thinking about changing docs...
Jenna, I've only had limited experience with Good Sam concerning pregnancy. But I will tell you that with the d&c they were very nice, helpful and comforting.

Yea sorry about that Jenna I just talked to my SIL and she thought that was what I was looking for. I had to explain that a PA could not deliver a baby But keep me posted if you find anyone good in that area bc I am in that area also and am having no luck! TIA!
