Gym & TTC
Does anybody else work out? Do you think will have an effect on TTC?

Thanks! I was concerned and thought maybe on the days of fertilization I shouldn't be going but I guess that would just be silly

Re: Gym & TTC
I worked out 4-5 times per week before my BFP. I went to the gym on the day we BD'd, I ovulated the next day and we got our BFP that cycle. I worked out a bunch of times during the 2ww too.

Re: Gym & TTC
From what I have heard and read its ok to workout but you might not want to go too strenuous.

Re: Gym & TTC
I work out and my doctor said it was fine. When I did get my bfp my doc told me that I could continue to work out doing cardio but that I could not exert myself so I basically walked on the treadmill.

Re: Gym & TTC
I go to the gym 3-4 times a week (either step or kickboxing class or elliptical/treadmill) and I haven't changed anything. If/when I become pregnant, I will def continue working out, but just take it down a notch. There was an instructor at my gym a couple of years ago that still taught her classes up until she was 8 mos. pregnant!! What a sight that was! But what better motivation... if she was doing it, I sure as h ell should be doing it!

Re: Gym & TTC
It is actually safe and beneficial to exercise when ttc, during pregnancy, and postpartum for both mom and baby as long as some small adjustments are made. I am a personal trainer specially certified in pre/postnatal exercise.
Remember to stay hydrated.
No-no's are contact sports(karate), heavy weights, and inverted yoga positions.
