When your toddler....
(who is down to one nap a day) is sick, do you try to get two naps out of them?

No I just put him down a little earlier and let him sleep a little longer.

Ryan still gives me 2 naps a day, most days. When he's sick, I have him sleep as much as possible - if he shows signs he needs it.

I don't force her, but she was under the weather a couple of weeks ago and took a 3 1/2 hour nap. I actually woke her up b/c it was 5:30pm and I was afraid it would interfere with her going to bed....she spent the rest of the night on the couch with me (which she never does) and I put her to bed a little earlier than usual.

Agreed. Unless DS is REALLY REALLY Sick there is no way he is going down for a 2nd nap.
I also just take it easy and let him relax, watch his movies, etc. I try not to stimulate him too much so that he takes it easy.

no, I dont force it. I let her tell me when she needs to rest. I usually just rest with her on the couch.
