Place for a communion near KP/Smithtown
Any ideas? DH and I changed our minds last night to go from an intimate family thing at the house to having it somewhere close for all of our frinds and family
And I feel completely blocked and can't think of too many places. TIA

Re: Place for a communion near KP/Smithtown
Bonwitt Inn I have not been there in a few years but last time we did it was really good.
We recently had my SILs shower at Patty Joes in KP and it was very good.
I had DS's christening near the mall at the brewery...the name is escaping me for some reason. It was really good they were very accommodating. The only thing is I felt the room was alittle too small for 60 pp.
My brother had his rehersal at JR steakhouse on 347 just recently and it was excellent. And very farily priced

Re: Place for a communion near KP/Smithtown
Thanks ladies, I am going to check these out. I am hoping to find a place where I can get a DJ and the kids can play and dance.

Re: Place for a communion near KP/Smithtown
Hi Diva...DH and I JUST decided the same thing. And I've been looking and looking. Someone suggested the Elks Club in Smithtown on Edgewood...I went to look at the room and it's perfect for a Communion party where you can have tables and still room for some entertainment for the kids. YoyWe're thinking of a DJ to do kiddie things or maybe a magician and a person to make balloon animals for the kids. We actually booked it today. We didn't get the actual day of the communion but the weekend before. Another great thing about it is that you can either rent the room and bring in or cook OR they can cater it all for you right there on location. Hope this helps.

if you want a restaurant, yes. best pricing!
For Logan's baptism, we used the american legion right off brooksite in smithtown - same church as you. Catered from Uncle Giuseppe's with some additional food from Mom. We had 80 people and our budget was $2k. We got everything for that price (hall, food, favors, decorations, etc. even paid 2 women to serve/clean up so we didn't have to.)

My aunt and uncle just had my cousin's christening party at John Harvard's and it was HORRIBLE! We had to wait a half hour for them set up the room, they ran out of the soup and didn't tell the people who ordered it until after all of the people who ordered salad were done eating. Then they had 1 waiter waiting on 60 people and bringing out the entrees 2 at a time. The guests were all getting antsy and hungry.

I also recommend Garden Grill, I had my rehearsal dinner there and was very happy.
We had DDs christening at Butterfields in Hauppauge. It was recommended on LIF and we got tons of compliments. We would def. use them again.
