I'd be more interested in pumping and feeding the breast milk from a bottle...

I am exclusively pumping. It works for us very well. Dad can help gives bottles, I don't need to plan my day because all else fails I can grab my pump and pump it out and put it on ice and it can be done very fast, and IMO breastmilk is best.
I did feed him from my breast the first week but we had problems even with the help of a Lactation Consultant and pumping worked out well for him and I.
I'm also somewhat shy so it is a thousand times better IMO to just pump for 10 minutes 7 times a day in privacy and if the baby does get hungry while friends or family or over I can just run to my fridge and warm up some milk and give him a bottle.
Plus in total breastfeeding has cost us 280 dollars including bottles, electric pump and handpump and he is eating about 27ozs a day. Now if I had to purchase bottles, formula.. etc it would be very expensive and since I'm a SAHM every bit of savings helps!
Also my baby is nearly 3 weeks and goes down at 10pm and sleeps till 3am (gets a bottle and goes back to sleep until about 6am)
IMO he is a great sleeper and breastfeeding hasen't affecting him by making him "not sleep through the night" I think all infants should wake up after 5 or so hours to eat.

although my feelings could change after bring pregnant adn giving birth but as of right now i do not plan on breast fedding. to me, it's not the issue of pain or felling like a failure if my child does not latch on, i am just not comfortable w/ it. to be completely honest, the though of it makes me cringe.

I don't see myself doing it. It just doesnt seem what was right for me. DH is convinced that it is what should be done. . . . too bad he doesn't have breasts.

I tried to do it but my daughter was a preemie so it only worked for a few weeks. So I decided to pump

i totally want to try to breastfeed, but i know that i will end up pumping and giving bottles as well, b/c i plan on going back to work.

If I can, I am taking predisone and may be on it for a couple of years. i can get pregnant while I am on it, but I doubt I can breastfeed.
