May I crash with a question?
One of my good friends is due on Sunday and delivering at the hospital where I work. I plan on visiting her after is born and bringing some goodies. So my question is, what is the one thing that you wish someone had brought you after the baby was born? Maybe something you couldn't have during pregnancy? Any and all suggestions are most welcome. TIA!

Re: May I crash with a question?
thanks! I was thinking along those lines, cold cuts, sushi etc. Is there anything I should avoid if she is trying to BF? I'm going to bring a bottle of wine for them for whenever they feel like it, but not having kiddos of my own, I don't know if there are foods you shouldn't eat while BFing?

Re: May I crash with a question?
honestly, i wasnt very hungry the first few days after. i always told DH the first think I wanted as soon as she was born was sushi. that day came and I wanted nothing to do with it. i also had a section soo I wasnt feeling great.
anyway, on the 2nd day DH brough me a huge peppermint patty (i didnt ask for it but he was at the gift shop). it was soooooo good. maybe it was the chocolate. soo, my suggestion is her fav candy bar. lame, but it worked for me!

Re: May I crash with a question?
With Robbie I requested.. and received.. a Guiness and chocolate covered strawberries.
I also wanted chocolate covered strawberries with Noah - but this time with champagne. I also desired a spicy tuna roll and lots of gossip rags to pass the non-visiting hours.
When my best friend gave birth this past St. Patrick's Day I brought her a Guiness and a corned beef on rye that she DEVOURED.
ETA: I was breastfeeding.

Re: May I crash with a question?
Starbucks coffee. I made DH go out and buy me one the next morning. And my sister brought these sinfully rich chocolate brownies.
And cold cuts--I avoided them for the listeria risk, so oddly enough a turkey sub sounded so yummy at that point.
