Craigslist doesn't have many listings near my home.

Through friends at my other job. Put the word out to friends & family or on Facebook to let them know you are looking.

I was actually working FT and I resigned. They asked me if I was interested in staying PT and I said yes.

I don't work P/T at present, but work in the health care field (for a home care agency). A lot of the nurses especially are P/T/per diem.
If we ever have another child, I may ask to go back P/T (I am a social worker).
I do know some nurses in hospitals who also work 3 long shifts so they can have 3 or 4 days off in a row each week.

I had a lot of success with getting calls from Craigslist for P/T work. You do tend to come across a lot of scams though. I think it also depends on where your located, Im in NJ.
I didnt come across too many that were legit via Careerbuilder & Monster.
