Question About Siding & Ideas.....
Hellooooo Ladies (& Gents if there are any on here)....
I desperately want to start working on the exterior of our house. It is wood right now and the paint is peeling off, it looks horrible and needs love! I'm not sure what to do....siding, etc.
Does anyone have any ideas/recommendations? (Pics would be soooo appreciated, i'm not so great with this stuff!)
Also, we have a high ranch. Has anyone seen or done anything interesting to make it look pretty? To me, high ranches all look the same. I wanted to do something to make it look pretty & unique.
Any ideas on any of the above would be so appreciated!!!! I want to make my house my home

I'm a fan of vinyl siding. No maintenance, and the newer styles look really nice. They have siding that looks like cedar shakes, and you can even get wood colors.
I have CertainTeed siding on my house.

I did the cedar shake style on the front, and the cheaper lap siding on the sides and rear.
I also love when materials are mixed. I have fake stone on the foyer, to give the front facade a little more interest. Image Attachment(s):

ITA! i love the look of those stones and plan on doing the same when we redo the outside of our home. We will probably do a siding in a similar shade.

We have CertainTeed cedar shake style around the whole house, and ledger stone on the front. I'll see if we have any pictures from closer up... Image Attachment(s):

I have a high ranch also. We got cedar siding and to make it different from most high ranches we replaced all of the windows with double-hung's. The front of the house has 2 double hungs next to each other instead of just one and a really large bay window. We also got white dental trim and keystones around the windows and garage. That really is a nice touch and I dont see that many houses with it!!
