Over Teaching For The Year
I am soooooooo over teaching this year I cant wait until Summer vacation. Since the 1st day of school, my principal has made it veryyyyyyy stressful on all of the teachers and basically treats us like c rap! Every staff meeting we get yelled at and she never has anything positive to say....which is funny because she tells us all the time when having parent/teacher conferences to say something positive FIRST
I am sick of being treated like a child that doesnt do anything right. I am so ready for Summer vaction already! Anyone else feel this way?? Can we get a countdown started?

This sounds exactly where I used to work. I got transferred to a new school this year...and I was sooooo majorly stressed out over this job, there just wasn't any joy in teaching for me anymore.
I made it till December break and I resigned.
Hang in there...it's already February!!!

ETA: I thought I'd edit and respond with more than just my countdown ... which ... by the way, I started 10 days ago. I figured starting at 100 was reasonable! 
Anyway... as hard as it is to make it in some days .. especially in the cold (and tomorrow morning- snow  ) I do believe it will get easier once the spring comes!
Figure this time in a month we will have 4 months to go! That's it!!! Once June comes people will already be making plans to pack up their classrooms and summer will be on everyone's brains!!! This is a hard part of the year. Granted I haven't been doing this too long, but I already feel like February is a time of year that's very dreary.. and it's smack in the middle of the school year so we're already getting drained and there's still so much more to get through.
This time of year can draaaaaag.......
Just focus on mini things to look forward to. I'm excited we have that week long break coming up. By the time we come back it will practically be March and HOPEFULLY Spring will be in the air!  Though, not according to Phil- who told us today there will be 6 more weeks of winter!

Exactly why I left my school last year too. I think some principals need a lot more professional development about how to encourage and support their faculty.

Looks like there's a lot of us in that position  I left my job at a REALLY bad time--new baby on the way, desperately need the money, lots of people waiting in line for my position...but I just couldn't deal with my principal anymore. It wasn't worth the stress.

Wow so Im not the only one with a crazy principal
Pennycat: You're right- when Spring comes I think it'll go faster too. Im in a better mood when the sun is shining
I hope this year keeps going by fast!!! Right now its dragging for me... I cant wait until our February break!!
